As it prepares to launch the new “Windows” phone, Nokia is speaking out about some of the other smart phones currently on the market. Niels Munksgaard, who is the director of Portfolio, Product Marketing & Sales at Nokia was recently quoted as saying: “What we see is that youth are pretty much fed up with iPhones. Everyone has the iPhone.”
He also stated that the Android is too complicated, as well as a lack of security for this model, which is why he predicts that Nokia’s smart phone with its Windows operating system will take off.
The Windows phone will boast streaming radio and numerous other services exclusive to this model, many of which are still under development. However, it might be worth it to note that these are fairly bold statements on Munksgaard’s behalf, considering the stronghold the iPhone appears to continue to have on the current cell phone market, with the Android coming in not too far behind. However, there is still much speculation as to the design of the Nokia phone, though analysts say it is likely to be fairly simple and easy to navigate. In fact, it is being compared to the Lumia 800 in terms of simplicity.
